Hello!
I’m Anae. I have over 30 years of experience with home DIY and decorating.
However, like many of you, my budget didn’t always align with my taste.
When I was just starting out, I wanted a beautiful home but didn’t have much money to make that happen.
I spent days at the library looking through decor magazines and books. Through trial and error, I began crafting projects based on the designs I saw in these magazines.
This self-start approach is still how I practice DIY today! My favorite tools are hot glue and paint, and I upcycle a lot of my projects.
Whether you’re a seasoned DIYer or just dipping your toes into the world of crafting, I’m thrilled to have you here. Let’s turn our living spaces into unique masterpieces, one project at a time!

Our Mission
My goal is to help you craft the home you love with the tools you have access to, without spending too much money.
All of the projects you’ll find here can be done with affordable materials, and many are upcycled.
The Team
Krista is the webmaster and editor for Artistic Home DIY.
She developed web design and content management experience for her own business as a dietitian and quickly fell in love with it.
Now she helps other women learn to share their expertise with the world through website and content mastery.
